The views from my room were heavenly, overlooking the pool and vineyards. The basement had a games room and relaxation room, perfect for unwinding. The chateau had a restaurant, library, and even a jacuzzi inside the swimming pool.
Shame there was no elevator, but who needs one when the stairs are so nice?

I chose Chateau De Camperos specifically because of its convenient location near Maison du Lillet. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free WiFi and free private parking available to all guests. The variety of options for starters, mains, and desserts also impressed me. Additionally, the shared lounge provided a comfortable space to relax and unwind.
No elevator, but nice stairs. Own transportation recommended.

As a senior woman, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful chateau in Barsac. The hotel's decor transported me back to old times, with its elegant and refined decoration. The general areas of the hotel, including the lobby and breakfast room, were clean and well-maintained. I particularly loved the spacious and comfortable bed chambers, which were tastefully decorated and offered all the modern comforts while still retaining their original charm. The hotel's accessibility was also top-notch, with easy access to the rooms and lovely grounds that were perfect for a leisurely stroll.
If I were to suggest one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be to have more staff available to assist with luggage and other needs. Although the children working there were polite and helpful, having additional staff members would ensure a smoother and more convenient experience for senior guests.

The rooms at Chateau De Camperos are absolutely stunning, with majestic proportions and preserved decor from the 19th century. It made us feel like royalty! The Asian room on the second floor is full of light and space, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Each room is equipped with everything we needed, including a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom.
Personally, I found the red drapes in our room a bit overwhelming, but others might enjoy the sumptuous feel they bring.

the staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. the chateau itself is stunning, with beautiful decoration and furnishings. We were the only guests during our stay, so we received special attention and personalized service. the breakfast was wonderful, with fresh baguettes, homemade jams, and exceptional pastries. the dinner was absolutely amazing, showcasing local produce and cuisine. the hosts, Paul and Bridgette, were very friendly and made our stay memorable. Cons: Can't think of anything 😊.

I absolutely adored the charming 19th-century ambiance of the chateau. The decor was tastefully done, with beautiful theme-based bed chambers that still retained their original feel. As a senior woman, I found the general areas of the hotel to be accessible and easy to navigate. The stairs were so nice that I didn't even mind that there was no elevator. Plus, the owner was kind enough to offer a freight elevator for suitcases, which was a great help.
One small thing that could make the vacation even better for senior people is if the children working there were a bit more attentive. However, this was only a minor issue and did not significantly impact my overall experience at the chateau.
